Saltwater Doulas Perinatal Support Collective is all about community and collaboration. Our goal is to help make a difference in the lives of our local families by providing a place to learn while also making meaningful relationships.

We hope to make this possible by offering an affordable and cozy space for other small businesses to host classes and workshops or see their own clients. Ideally, this will be used for perinatal workers that have valuable information to share with our team or our client base however, we are always open to meeting with anyone who wishes to be a part of what we have created!

Our perinatal support center is located at 82 Main Street in downtown Amesbury, MA. We have two large street windows which we use for permanent and rotating marketing. The large municipal parking lot is a short 2-minute walk from our doorstep! There is ample street parking in front of the building, with some of it being 2-hour only.

The inside of the space is broken into two sections. The “main”, larger space has wooden floors and is flooded with light from the street windows. There is a 5"X6" raised platform with a mounted TV that is currently used as a teaching space for large prenatal education and fitness classes.

The back of the main space is seamlessly sectioned off into a cozy lounge space. With two large couches, a glider, and a bench. There is ample space for guests or clients to wait for an appointment or meet as a small group. The floor has a large, soft rug and there are several floor cushions available for sitting on.

The coffee station is stocked with a Keurig, an assortment of teas and coffee, an electric tea kettle, small snacks and candies, cold waters and canned drinks and more. All of these are free to anyone who is seeing a practitioner or joining a group!

The “Main” Space

Some of the classes we’ve hosted include prenatal education, prenatal yoga, Music Together, Tummy Time with The Moving Peanut, and more!

The “Side” Space

While the “main” larger space is ideal for larger groups, workshops and classes, the smaller side space is perfect for smaller groups or consultations, office/admin work, or bodywork.

This space is separated from the “main” area by a large barn door and conveniently has its own private entrance. Adorned with flowy drapery and cozy twinkle lights, this long and narrow space has plenty of room to gather in smaller groups or walk around a massage table comfortably. The back of the space is sectioned off from a private storage area with a floor to ceiling bookshelf divider. While it is not a real wall, it still provides plenty of privacy!

The large street window and door window in this room are frosted in order to allow for discretion from those walking by.

This room also features a two person loveseat, arm chair, and side table for anyone who would like to use this space for private consultations, virtual meetings, or just a quiet place to work! There is also a 6 ft accordion divider that can be used if you wish to “hide” one end or the other.

Sound machines are placed outside each door in order to provide an extra layer of privacy enhancement and mask any outside distractions.
