Welcome to Saltwater Doulas Perinatal Support Collective, where friendship and expertise converge to create a safe, fun, and nurturing space for families and perinatal professionals alike.

With over a decade of combined experience in the perinatal field and after several years of managing and growing a doula agency under their belts, Alyssa and Ashley decided to take the autonomy of their business into their own hands and birthed Saltwater Doulas Perinatal Support Collective.

82 Main St. Amesbury, MA

A hanging signboard against a clear sky, bearing the name "salt water doulas" and describing the establishment as "a perinatal support collective," situated along a quiet street.

The decision to establish the collective in the charming town of Amesbury, MA, was an easy one. Other than its beauty, charm, and strong community of new families, its central location to Saltwater Doulas' service range made it a no-brainer. The collective, as well as the doula agency, welcome families from MA, NH, and ME to join together to learn, build community, and thrive.

Driven by their commitment to collaboration and community, Ashley and Alyssa founded Saltwater Doulas as a hub for perinatal professionals and businesses to come together and support families during one of life's most transformative times. Their goal is not only to offer exceptional doula services and perinatal education but also to foster a network of like-minded professionals who share the dedication to supportive care and empowering families.

Passionate about empowering families, Ashley teaches prenatal breastfeeding classes, offers lactation support, and excels as a birth doula. Her calm and tranquil presence fosters an environment where you feel in control of your birthing experience.

Her dedication extends beyond her work with families; Ashley has been deeply committed to mentoring new doulas, over the last two years, through our mentorship program.

Outside of her doula work, Ashley finds joy in baking, cherishing moments with her family, and spending time with her dog.

Alyssa brings a deep-rooted passion for childbirth to her role at Saltwater Doulas Perinatal Support Collective, drawing inspiration from her mother, who was also a birth doula.

Alyssa has been sharing her wealth of knowledge as a childbirth educator since 2018, and support as a certified birth doula since 2020. Additionally, Alyssa's dedication to optimal birth positioning and movement is evident through her certification as a Spinning Babies Parent Educator in 2021.

When she's not immersed in birth discussions, Alyssa enjoys playing board games with her family and friends and snuggling her cat.

Her multifaceted approach to perinatal support and unwavering dedication to advocating for informed birth choices make her an invaluable leader to our team.
