Rebekah CBD, CPD, LE
certified birth doula, certified postpartum doula, lactation educator
Rebekah has over 30 years of experience raising her sons and working as a nanny and caregiver, through which she has gained extensive knowledge, skills, and wisdom. As a postpartum doula, Rebekah is passionate about teaching, helping, and supporting new moms as they "find their inner mama." She guides new parents on how to care for, soothe, breastfeed, and read their baby's cues, empowering them to feel confident and comfortable in caring for their newborns.
Rebekah's goal is to help families ease into the significant life change of welcoming a newborn as smoothly as possible, whether it’s their first baby or their fifth. She understands that each child brings unique challenges and that the needs of a family evolve with each addition. Rebekah provides non-judgmental support in all aspects, from helping the baby sleep and preparing nourishing meals, to folding laundry and listening as parents process the emotions of transitioning into parenthood.
Rebekah loves spending time with her four adult sons (ages 30 to 24) and her husband Dan, and especially cherishes her time with her granddaughter Brooklynn, who has brought laughter and all things "girly" to their once boy-centric home. She is actively involved in her church and loves to serve the young mom community there. In her free time, Rebekah enjoys gardening, singing and playing the piano, entertaining in her home, and the simple pleasures of an early morning walk.
What are clients saying…
When I first considered hiring a birth and postpartum doula, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I envisioned someone to help ease the pain of birth & to help us in the early weeks after birth to transition to a family of four. What I didn't expect was to gain someone so dear to us she now feels like family. Rebekah provided us with helpful tips and tricks & a plethora of information during pregnancy. She then helped me to feel empowered and strong during birth. She was the gentle touch and the encouraging words I didn't know I needed. When things got tough, she was there every second - genuinely believing in me and my strength. In the weeks after birth, when things are all a bit foggy, she was that shining light. Rebekah provided guidance in breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, and helped me to better understand my son & what it was he needed and when. She helped with things around the house. She allowed me time for me - naps, showering, outdoor walks. All while caring for my son as she would her very own. She is trustworthy, caring, nurturing, giving, genuine, and someone who always has you and your child's best interests at the forefront. I am eternally grateful for all Rebekah has done, and continues to do, for our family and would highly recommend her to anyone who could benefit from her services!
As the husband I was skeptical about Doulas but Rebekah was amazing. Between helping us get ready for delivery and guidance in delivery to help in post partum was invaluable! Most importantly, I really appreciated how she made my wife feel supported her like another mom! She was genuine, warm and very easy to seek guidance from. And her knowledge is invaluable
She made our birthing and newborn process seamless and wonderful. I highly recommend her doula and postpartum services!
